Report- Interact Club Installation Ceremony 2026–27

 

                “Leadership is not about being at the front; it is about making a difference.”

Ahlcon International School witnessed a significant and inspiring milestone on 7 August 2026, as the school hosted the Interact Club Installation Ceremony for the session 2026–27. More than a ceremonial transition of office, the occasion marked the beginning of a new journey—one that calls upon young minds to transform leadership into responsibility, ideas into action, and compassion into service.

The ceremony was graced by an esteemed gathering of Rotary dignitaries, including President Rtn. Manju Gupta – Rotary Club of Delhi Southex, District 3011; IPP Rtn. Sunita Jain; PP Rtn. Hem Chand Gaur; PP Rtn. Praveen Jain; Rtn. Ambuj; PP Rtn. Madhukar Khemka; PP Rtn. Rajesh Chandra – Joint Secretary and Sgt-at-Arms Rtn. Smita Chandra; PE Rtn. Dr. Sanjiv Kumar Dixit and Anne Dr. Neeta Kumar; VP Rtn. Priyadarshinee Kanoria; Club Secretary Rtn. Pankaj Kumar Verma; Director Rtn. Mercy Oommen; and Rtn. Acharya Vijay Krishna Shastri.

The occasion was further honoured by the presence of the school leadership—Principal Mr. Sanjay Yadav, Headmistress of Secondary Stage Dr. Ekta Kandhari Ratra, Headmistress of Middle Stage Ms. Sunanda S. Kumar, and Headmistress of Foundation Stage Ms. Pooja Shandilya—along with teachers and enthusiastic Interactors. The ceremony was confidently conducted by Chhavi Mishra and Aaratrika Singh of Class IX, with Ms. Ritika Kumar, Teacher In-charge, Interact Club, and Ms. Nupur guiding and mentoring the young leaders.

The ceremony commenced with the National Anthem, Rotary Four-Way Test and ceremonial lamp lighting. These were not merely formal proceedings; they served as powerful reminders of the principles that should illuminate every act of leadership—truth, fairness, goodwill, friendship, knowledge and service. A video presentation highlighting the Interact Club’s initiatives and community outreach from the previous session further demonstrated how young people can turn empathy into meaningful action.

The most significant moment of the ceremony was the formal transition of leadership. Vibhukant Bansal as President of the Interact Club for 2026–27, with Tanisha Singh as Vice President, Yojit Mittal as Club Secretary, and Saesha Sood as Treasurer. The newly elected Board Members were formally invested through the pinning ceremony.

The pinning was symbolic of much more than a new designation. It is the actions behind that badge that give leadership its true meaning. The new office bearers now carry not only positions, but also the trust of their peers and the responsibility to lead through example.

A particularly meaningful moment was the formal induction of 30 young Interactors, who were welcomed into the Interact family through the badge-pinning ceremony. With sincerity and pride, they took the oath to uphold integrity, responsibility, fellowship and selfless service, pledging to work collectively towards creating a meaningful and positive impact on society.

Their oath captured the true spirit of Interact: service is not simply something we do for others; it is a way of becoming better human beings ourselves.

The young Interactors were reminded that leadership does not always require a stage, a title or recognition. Sometimes, leadership is as simple as noticing someone in need, extending a helping hand, standing up for what is right, protecting the environment, or inspiring another person to believe in the power of goodness.

The inspiring addresses by Principal Mr. Sanjay Yadav, HM Secondary Stage Dr. Ekta Kandhari Ratra, and President Rtn. Manju Gupta added depth and purpose to the ceremony. Their messages encouraged the young Interactors to embrace leadership with compassion, integrity and commitment, reminding them that the greatest measure of leadership is not authority, but the difference one makes in the lives of others.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Tanisha Singh, Vice President, reaffirming the Interact Club’s commitment to the Rotary philosophy of “Service Above Self.”

As the ceremony came to a close, a new journey had only just begun. The badges had been pinned, the oath had been taken and responsibilities had been entrusted—but the real ceremony of leadership will unfold through the months ahead, in every initiative undertaken, every life touched and every act of service performed with sincerity.

The Interact Club Installation Ceremony 2026–27 thus set an inspiring tone for a year of purposeful leadership, collaborative action, responsible citizenship and dedicated community service. May these young Interactors remember that the true legacy of leadership is not the position one holds, but the positive change one leaves behind.
