Report on Book & Literary Week Fest

Dates: 28th April 2026 to 30th April 2026

The Book & Literary Week Fest was successfully organized at the Secondary Stage from 28th April to 30th April 2026 with the aim of fostering creativity, literary appreciation and interdisciplinary learning among students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Classes IX to XII across various engaging and thoughtfully designed activities.

On 28th April 2026, after the inauguration, the Secondary Stage hosted an Inter-House Folklore Narration Competition in the school auditorium for Classes IX and X. Students showcased Indian folklores through creative presentations, reflecting their storytelling skills and cultural understanding. The event was vibrant and engaging, highlighting teamwork and expression.

Simultaneously, a range of classroom-based activities were conducted across subjects. In English, students of Classes IX and XI participated in a Puppet Show, where they designed puppets and presented literary pieces, bringing stories to life with meaningful messages. Classes X and XII engaged in Chitra Katha, creatively illustrating scenes from texts using traditional Indian art forms such as Madhubani and Warli.

In Sanskrit, Class IX students presented Pictorial Stories focusing on moral values, while Class X students showcased their creativity through Pot Decoration, integrating shlokas and visuals.

Hindi activities included Doha-based presentations for Class IX, where students highlighted life lessons through dialogues or plays and Story Weaving using Idioms for Class X, enhancing linguistic creativity.

German language activities added an international dimension, with Class IX students working on Indo-German Wall Decoration, and Class X students creating Bottle Art depicting German monuments.

Library-based activities encouraged literary reflection, where students from classes IX and X students presented character sketches from their favorite books and classes XI and XII explored character sketches of their favorite authors, showcasing analytical and creative skills.

On 29th  April 2026, an enriching session titled “Handling Teen Issues with Confidence: What Your Handwriting Says About You” was conducted in the auditorium for Classes XI and XII. The interactive session, led by resource person Ms. Aastha Kalra from Times NIE, provided valuable insights into personality traits and self-awareness through handwriting analysis.

Overall, the Book & Literary Week Fest was a resounding success. It provided a platform for students to explore literature beyond textbooks, express their creativity and develop confidence. The collaborative efforts of students and teachers made the event both educational and memorable. Principal Mr. Sanjay Yadav, Vice Principal Mr. Puneet Duggal and HM Secondary Stage, Dr. Ekta Kandhari Ratra witnessed all the activities and event. They praised the students for their commendable efforts.
