SprachUtsavah 2.0 – A Celebration of Language & Culture

‘Languages are the keys to understanding the heart of another culture’

To foster a deeper appreciation and understanding of diverse cultures, on April 30, 2025, Ahlcon International School had the honour of hosting SprachUtsavah 2.0, a vibrant celebration of languages and cultures that brought together students from 37 schools across Delhi-NCR. The theme, ‘संगच्छध्वं संवदध्वम्’ – Let us move together, let us speak in harmony – resonated deeply with all those present.

The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, setting the stage for a day filled with excitement and anticipation. The  German Guest of Honour, Mr. Timothy Strack, Language Advisor at PASCH Education Services, Goethe-Institute / Max Mueller Bhavan, emphasised the role of language in bridging cultural divides and fostering global understanding. His inspiring words left a lasting impression.

The Sanskrit Guest of Honour, Dr. Om Bhardwaj, a retired Sanskrit educator with 38 years of experience, has authored the SURABHI series and served as a master trainer. He shared valuable insights on preserving cultural heritage and embracing challenges to cultivate new skills.

The diverse competitions that followed – from Doodle Art to Sanskrit Dialogue Presentation – were a true testament to the students’ creativity, linguistic flair, and cultural awareness. Esteemed judges Mr. Fabian Welt, Mr. Raj Dhingra, Dr. Jyoti Raj, and Acharya Yatindra Kumar Sharma provided insightful feedback, motivating participants to continue their journeys with confidence and passion.

SprachUtsavah 2.0 was more than an event; it was a celebration of unity in diversity and the transformative power of language. The program concluded with the announcement of results and prize distribution, recognising the outstanding performances and teamwork of all involved.

In his closing address, Principal Mr. Sanjay Yadav commended the dedication and enthusiasm of participants, organisers, and mentors who made the event a grand success. He rightfully quoted that  Languages are a way of fostering unity rather than creating divisions and highlighted the importance of seeing Languages as a way of instilling inclusion and embracing our differences to create a harmonious environment.

 Vice Principal Mr. Puneet Duggal praised the collaborative spirit and emphasised how initiatives like SprachUtsavah reinforce Ahlcon’s commitment to holistic education and intercultural dialogue. Headmistress-Senior Stage Dr. Ekta K Ratra felt contentment and appreciated all the participants.
