Book and Literary Week 2025
REPORT-LITERARY LEGACY 2025
The Secondary Stage of
Ahlcon International School celebrated Book and Literary Week from April 28 to
30, 2025, a three-day extravaganza promoting creativity, critical thinking,
literary expression, and intercultural understanding.
Day 1 featured two
engaging events. An Inter-House Library Activity invited students of Classes
IX–XII to design themed book covers, showcasing a brilliant fusion of artistic
skill and academic insight and Swaranjali, a soulful Kavya Goshthi, saw
students from Classes V–XI recite original poems on social issues with great
poise. The session began with Ganesh Stuti and featured renowned poet Mr.
Dhiranjan Malve as the chief guest, whose presence inspired young poets.
Day 2 offered intellectual
depth through two enriching sessions. From Classroom to Newsroom, for the students of classes XI & XII, media
professionals Mr. Rajnish Sinha and Ms. Rajni Sharma shared insights on modern
journalism. It was followed by a fascinating workshop on Graphology by Ms.
Aastha Kalra, who introduced Classes IX and X to the psychology of handwriting
and self-awareness through analysis.
Across classrooms, vibrant
language-based activities enriched learning: Literary Courtroom Trials in Class
X, grammar board games in Class IX, book trailers by Class XI, and Reel &
Read by Class XII. The Sanskrit and German Departments added further depth with
time-themed clock-making, Doodle Art, and folder designing.
Day 3 concluded with
SprachUtsavah 2.0, a multicultural language festival with 37 participating
schools. Themed "Let us move together, let us speak in harmony", it
celebrated linguistic diversity through competitions and cultural showcases.
Guests of Honour Mr. Timothy Strack and Dr. Bhardwaj emphasized the global
relevance of language and heritage.
The week was efficacious
and was applauded by Principal Mr. Sanjay Yadav, Vice Principal Mr. Puneet
Duggal, and HM Dr. Ekta K. Ratra for its vibrant participation and educational
impact.
