Ahlcon International School, Mayur Vihar showcased an inspiring tribute to women's resilience through the Secondary Stage Annual Function held on 1^st February 2024 by the students of Class IX. The event, Sashakt Nari: Itihas se Navachar Tak, traced the socio-cultural evolution of women’s roles, illuminating their relentless pursuit of equity and self-determination. The programme started with the lamp-lighting ceremony by the distinguished dignitaries. The event was graced by Dr Sudhakar Bhimrao Gaikwad, Deputy Director of Education for District East as the Chief Guest; Mr Ramesh Kandpal: Senior Yoga Instructor, Akhil Bhartiya Anuvrat Nyas; Chairperson Dr Rohini Ahluwalia, Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, Vice Principal, Mr. Puneet Duggal, Head, Secondary Stage, Dr Ekta K. Ratra, HMs and esteemed parents.

The function showcased the indomitable spirit of women through a theatrical adaptation inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s Chitrangada, portraying a woman’s internal conflict and ultimate self-realization. Through a fusion of live and evocative performances, voice-overs, music, and dance, students captured the essence of female fortitude and autonomy.

The culmination of the play was a poignant tribute to the school’s girls alumnae, the trailblazers in diverse fields, and served as remarkable evidence to the play’s central theme, demonstrating the legacy of empowered women continues to inspire and shape future generations through ages and evolving times. The Annual Report presentation further reflected Ahlcon’s pursuit of academic excellence, holistic development, and ethical leadership. 

Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav appreciated the efforts the stupendous efforts of the teachers and the students. The event was a powerful and poignant reminder of Ahlcon’s unwavering mission—nurturing empowered individuals who shape a just and progressive world and foster egalitarianism through education.
