Interschool AhlconIntl Model G 20 Summit

 

Ahlcon International School, Mayur Vihar organized (23^rd September 2023) its first ever Interschool AhlconIntl Model G20 summit for educators with the motto “Interconnectedness for a Better Future”. Forty teachers, from Delhi/NCR and India, participated in the event and deliberated  upon  climate sustainability and education for sustainable world.

The opening ceremony was graced by an array of educators and role models from around the world. Chief guest, Mr. Marco Teixeira, Regional Representative UNODC Regional Office for South Asia, Guest of Honour, Mr. Timothy Strack, Language Advisor South Asia – in the PASCH Education Services department at Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan Delhi, Special Guest Mr. Samarth Pathak, Communications Officer and Focal Point, UNODC, South Asia, Mr. Sivaram, Author and Counsellor, Ms. Tanvi Duggal, Project Manager, PASCH Educational Services at Max Mueller Bhawan, Goethe Institute, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, Principal of Ahlcon International School and Mr. Puneet Duggal, Vice Principal, of Ahlcon International School were the distinguished guests for the Model G20 Summit for educators.

Dr. Ashok Pandey, Director, Ahlcon Group of schools expressed his wishes through a message highlighting the importance of G20 Presidency for India and role of teachers in nation building and reiterated the implementation of SDG goals in the school curriculum. Mr. Sanjay Yadav, Principal, Ahlcon International School talked about the colossal work done by the school for the SDGs and complimented the organizing team for their stupendous efforts for G20 summit for teachers.

The teachers began debating and discoursing on some of the world’s most pressing issues inspiring young learners and their peers. The first session witnessed various opening speeches from various delegates and the second session was preceded by a press conference held by various young journalists guided by our untiring delegation affair heads.

The whole event was captured in images and videos by the imaginative media team and the technical aspects of the event were handled by the IT heads. The AhlconIntl Newsletter was updated simultaneously as the event went by, by the delegation team.

The closing ceremony proceeded with a Vote of Thanks. The dignitaries presented the delegate participants with the best speaker, high commendation and special mention awards to recognize the efforts during the prize distribution ceremony. 

The credit for the successful execution of the event goes to the commendable efforts of The AhlconIntl Model G20 Summit Organizing Team. All the participants, guests, Executive Board, teachers and the team carried in their hearts a treasured experience gained through the mega-event.
