Book and Literary Week 2023

 “Language exerts hidden power, like a moon on the tides.”

To foster love and appreciation for literature and languages, Literary Fest, the enthralling annual feature on the calendar of Ahlcon, came to life on 24th and 25th April 2023. The school at senior stage celebrated the event with plethora of multi-disciplinary activities that made the learners to appreciate and experience pollyannaism. Activities based on design thinking, value integration, ICT Approach and art integration were designed by the department of English, Hindi, German, and Sanskrit department. 

Department of English language organized an interactive author’s session with Mr. Sivaram Raghavan on April 24, 2023, for the students of class XI.  He discussed on the importance of books and impact of technology on the students’ lives.


Another session was conducted on the following day by Mr. Sanjay Sharma, 

Senior Journalist, Aaj Tak about the nuances of Journalism and technology

for the students of class XI-XII.

Students of Class XII also designed their best out of waste products based on the topics given in their English language books. Using the Flip Classroom pedagogy students of class IX presented different poems of their syllabus in the form of astounding rap songs, stunning role plays and spectacular art forms.

With an idea of design thinking methodology, students of Class X were shown some sculptures to observe with multi-disciplinary approach and creatively design different art forms or compose either poems or songs or stories.

These activities benefitted students of all diverse group and accommodated all. 

Students of Class XII also designed their best out of waste products based on the topics given in their English language books. The amazeballs designed by the Department of German Language included designing of attractive key chains by the students of Class IX and alluring pebble designing by the students of Class X. With an idea of G-20 Theme (वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्- Die Welt ist eine Familie) students unveiled their brimming creativity. These activities also demonstrated the importance of art and creativity in promoting positive social change and fostering a sense of community.
