Teachers' Day Celebrations 2021 – Report

Teachers are magicians who turn oblivious little children into confident and aware individuals. Former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday, 5^th September, is observed every year as Teachers’ Day in order to acknowledge and appreciate the work of teachers in world-building. Honouring the nationwide tradition and that of Ahlcon International School, the students of batch 2021-22 organised Teachers’ Day Celebrations on Friday, 3^rd September 2021.

The programme was attended by honourable Director, Ahlcon Group of Schools, Dr. Ashok Pandey, Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, HMs, AHMs and teachers of the pre-primary, primary, middle and senior schools. The celebrations began with the welcome of guests and the lamp lighting ceremony. The audience was made aware of the importance of teachers’ day as well as teachers through an informative yet sweet video curated by the students. To set the tone of the day, there was a melodious musical rendition, which forced the audience to swing lightly along with the music and enjoy to the fullest. There was also a dance performance – showcasing both freestyle and classical dances. The title ceremony was held in a unique way – a song was dedicated to each dignitary and department to portray the essence of their field of work with the help of music. Additionally, a self-composed poem was presented, which expressly depicted the overwhelming emotions of students towards their teachers. The programme ended on a nostalgic note, walking down the memory lane through photographs of memories of the past years. It was an honour to listen to the thought-provoking ideas of all the dignitaries, as they expressed their admiration and blessings towards the students.

It was a wholesome programme full of joyous and nostalgic moments. The teachers surely felt happy to witness the love of the students. Indeed, the real success of the students was to see their teachers smiling and having fun for a brief time, before getting back to their busy and hectic lives that they have dedicated for the students.
