Ahlcon International School organised the highly revered Award Ceremony, in blended mode, on 4th September 2021, to acknowledge and appreciate the undeterred spirit of the valorous teachers who took the challenge of managing classes online head-on, during the session 2020-21. This Award Ceremony was an ode to those teachers who had been silent workers but whose efforts and endeavours reverberated a saga of hope that ensured learning did not stop even during the Covid-19 pandemic. The dignitaries who graced the occasion were – The Chairperson- Dr Rohini Ahluwalia; Guest of Honour- Retd. Cdr Arunima Raja; Director, Ahlcon Group of Schools- Dr Ashok Pandey; The Manager, Ahlcon Group of schools- Mr. P K Bhatnagar; The Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav; HM Senior Section- Mr. Puneet Duggal; HM Middle Section- Ms. Sunita Rajiv; HM Primary Section- Ms. Kavita Shah; AHM Primary section- Ms. Shipra Srivastava; AHM Pre-primary Section- Ms Pooja Shandilya and Admin Officer- Mr. Gaurav Sharma.
The esteemed Guest of Honour was retd. Cdr
Arunima Raja from Indian Navy. She was commissioned to the
Education Branch of the Indian Navy in August 2004 and has served in the Navy
for more than 16 years as a Short Service Commissioned officer. While in the
service she was commended twice by the Navy for sincerity and dedication to
duty. She retired from the services this year and is now looking forward to
joining a school in Maharashtra as a Principal.
In
consonance to the school’s tradition, school choir gave the day a serene start
by invoking the blessings of the almighty. The entourage was then brightened by
a soulful musical rendition by the School Music Department. Principal, Mr.
Sanjay Yadav, accorded a heartfelt ceremonial welcome to the venerated
gathering and addressed everyone with his kind words of appreciation and
encouragement.
The morning
of gratitude commenced by acknowledging the efforts of recipients of the Rising
Star Award category, who bedazzled everyone and made the session 20-21, the
most transformative by helping the education sector emerge like a phoenix from
the ashes. The winner for this category from Pre-Primary Section was
Ms. Anupma Uppal. From the Middle Section the teacher who rose to
prominence was Mr. Amit Kumar Jaiswal. Ms. Prerna Anand was the teacher who
became the winner of this category by radiating brightly in the Senior Section.
The recipient of the Co-scholastic award was Ms. Monica Shishodia from Middle
Section.
This year
got adorned with a new category ‘Digital empowerer of the year’ award that
indeed summarized the endeavours of the tech-savvy teachers during the pandemic
who took a humungous digital leap by implementing innovative online tools. The
very Well-deserving teacher from the pre-primary Section was Ms. Deepti Chopra.
From the Primary Section, Ms. Garima Mehra and Ms. Deepti Mathur, proved
themselves to be the winners for this category. From the Middle Section, Ms.
Risha Imran was the chosen one. From the Senior Section the one who embraced
technology like never before was Ms. Sumedha Sodhi.
Special
Commendation award was accredited to the teachers who glimmered brilliantly
against all odds and made their presence felt through their rigorous hard work.
From Pre-Primary Section the winner was Ms. Pooja Singh. The very
Well-deserving teacher from the Primary Section was Ms. Seema Jaiswal. The
winner of this category from the Middle Section for her remarkable role was Ms.
Vandana Awasthi. The teacher from the Senior Section who steered her way to
this award was Ms. Seemien Naushad.
Best Class
Teacher Award was awarded to those teachers who proved their mettle in all the
realms of the teaching- learning processes and managed their classes with a lot
of zeal and ardour. From Pre-Primary Section the chosen ones were Ms. Kakoli
Logani and Ms. Pooja Talwar. The winner of this category from the Primary
Section was Ms. Vandana Dua. From Middle section, Ms. Binny Rawal was selected
as the winner for her integral role in inspiring and encouraging students. Ms
Nidhi Chopra from Senior section proved herself to be the winner by showing her
commitment to the students through her zeal and competence.
The Teacher
of the Year award was accredited to those teachers who did an exemplary work
and brought about a paradigm shift by delivering quality education. From
Pre-Primary Section the one who received the award for fostering perfection in
the art of teaching was Ms. Priyanka Verma Chaudhary. Ms. Deepti Sehgal from the
Primary Section was awarded for her tremendous efforts in setting high
teaching- learning standards. The teacher from the Middle Section who got the
award for her exemplary work was Ms. Namita N. Bhagat. The teacher from the
Senior Section who was awarded for taking-up teaching as an integral
responsibility was Ms. Mukta Sharma.
The Acceptance Speech of ‘The Teacher of the year’ awardees were
followed by address by The Director, Ahlcon Group of schools, Dr Ashok Pandey,
who felicitated all the awardees with his precious words of praise and motivation. The
Chairperson, Dr Rohini Ahluwalia, addressed the gathering with her motivating words that effectively amplified the
vibrance of the event. The ceremony concluded with the visions of another
successful year brimming with the exemplary work of the
stalwart teachers who would keep on working as a catalyst in their respective
arenas and elevate the benchmarks to unthinkable heights.
