The Book and Literary Week, organised at Ahlcon International School, aids in traversing through the intriguing and unexplored realms of students' minds. The stellar literary expedition that took its elegant stride with the inauguration of Literary Week in Ahlcon International School on 22nd June 2021, was given de rigueur farewell through the Valedictory  Function on 25th June 2021. This literary odyssey was graced by the Chief Guest Mr. Saurin Desai; Guest of Honour, Ms Laxmi Prakash; honourable Director, Ahlcon Group of Schools-Dr Ashok Pandey; Principal, Ahlcon International School-Mr. Sanjay Yadav; HMs, AHMs, teachers and the ever-charming ahlconites.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Saurin Desai, is an ideator, writer, published poet, comic writer, and a creative writing & thinking mentor. He has mentored over a thousand individuals via workshops and sessions for organizations like the Orange City Literature Festival, IILM University, NIIT, Mumbai University, Academy of Architecture, Hindustan Times, Tata Sky, Rajeev Gandhi College of Management Studies, COGS, Bungy House and Community Connect. The Guest of Honor, Ms. Laxmi Prakash, is associated with the British Council as a Consultant for content writing, training of trainers and for their Spoken English Project. She is a globally accredited teacher by the British Council and the Cambridge Education Foundation, and is also a certified school auditor. Both the guests shared their illuminating thoughts and inspired the entourage by broadening their horizons.

HM Senior Section, Mr. Puneet Duggal, who has enabled the school to radiate with excellence and set bench marks with one event after another, gave an insight into the event with his erudite address to the majestic convoy of literati. Director, Dr Ashok Pandey, brought forth the laudable management of the digitisation of School library. He further elaborated on how this e-learning has acted as a catalyst and provided the students a passport to wonders that has opened their eyes and hearts to the world beyond their homes and showed them the paradise they can flourish in.

The riveting presentation on the par excellence qualities of the Ahlcon library gave a glimpse of this magnificently bedecked ocean of knowledge and showcased the exemplary philanthropic book donation drives taken up by the school. It also brought to light the comprehensive digital leap that redeemed its priceless value by letting the students access the enchanting world of books from the safe confines of their homes.

An invigorating presentation on the effervescent events conducted during the entire week, embellished the day with its captivating glimpses. Ahlcon International School again witnessed the exponential successes of the seeds sown during Literary week in the form of students excelling as budding writers, flawless orators and voracious readers. To commemorate this event, the winners of Inter-house competitions- ‘Reliving Ramayana’ and Turn-coat debate titled 'The Devil's Advocate' were applauded for their exemplary work. These events were imbued with the essence of bringing to the students the ocean of words, which tapped and nurtured their potential. The winners of the Inter-house competition titled ‘Re-living Ramayana’ mesmerized everyone with their enactment of the mythological characters from Ramayana coming to life and standing face to face with their contemporary versions.

The Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, highlighted the significance of Book and Literary week which accentuated love and reverence towards the books in the students and drew the curtain to this year's Book and Literary week by thanking all the honorable guests, dignitaries, teachers and students. The vivacious celebration of the highly revered books and literature was a prodigious feat which reached its summit with the showcasing of a bouquet of enchanting magnum opuses by the Senior Section of the prestigious Ahlcon International School. The organization and conduction of the Valedictory Function proved that when brilliant minds, with ardent ambitions, work towards a common goal, amazing things happen!
